The award is held by the Essendon Women’s Network and aims to recognise the role women play in football in both professional and honorary roles.
Rogers is nominated in the honorary category.
“Colleen has demonstrated quality leadership and commitment,” Essendon said of Rogers in announcing the finalists this week.
“Colleen’s concern with the state of junior football, in not only the LVFNL but the wider central Victorian area, saw her initiate discussions with the AFL Central Victoria commission and representatives of the other leagues to address the issues.”
The winners will be announced on September 25.
Meanwhile, the LVFNL finals begin on Saturday.
