The trial of Euan Vance, 52, was to start in the Supreme Court in Melbourne this morning, but was adjourned for a plea hearing on August 18.
Vance was committed to stand trial in December last year after pleading not guilty to 465 charges relating to fraud of $1.2 million.
Vance, now suspended as a lawyer, entered pleas to several charges this morning and was formally arraigned.
