Aldred took charge of his final meeting at Lord's Raceway on Thursday night before he heads to Brisbane to take over as Racing Queensland's harness racing chief.
"I've enjoyed Bendigo a great deal,'' Aldred said.
"The club has achieved a lot in the past four years. Winning the Victorian club of the year for the first time in 2012 was a big highlight.
"To be recognised at state and national level for our media work was a great achievement.
"The club is going forward, particularly with major events. The Oktoberfest was a success in 2013 and this year's will be even bigger.
"The Anniversary Cup meeting we started a couple of years ago and it will develop into a major event for the club.
"The Race For Fun Club we introduced in conjunction with the Bendigo Advertiser created a lot of interest and I'm sure that can be resurrected down the track."
Aldred said the BHRC was in a strong position to maintain its status as one of the premier regional club's in Australia.
"Despite some negative talk around the place, I can confirm the club will make a profit this year,'' Aldred said.
"These days it's very hard for racing club's to make profits... but the BHRC has the foundations in place to continue its success."
