The Bulldogs suffered one of the upset losses of the season against the Tigers in round five, but there was no repeat of Kyneton's heroics on Saturday as Golden Square comfortably won 25.11 (161) to 10.8 (68) at the Kyneton Showgrounds.
"The most pleasing aspect of the performance was I felt we had a really even contribution today by every player and for the majority of the game," Carter said.
"You try to take something out of each game, and that's what we'll take out of today."
The accurate Bulldogs kicked five goals in the first quarter, eight in the second, seven in the third and five in the last in what was their highest score for two years.
"We knew that Kyneton had been down for a few weeks and they would want to come out really strong on their home ground, but to the credit of the boys when Kyneton pushed them at times, they were able to hold strong and take control of the game," Carter said.
The young Golden Square side included Brayden Klemke and Blayne Ryan-Storey, who both kicked goals, play their first senior games for the club as the list of Bulldogs' debutantes in 2014 continues to grow.
"They both contributed really well, as did Liam Jacques up from the under-18s and another of the young players in Ross Culvenor," Carter said.
"We're getting up to about 10 guys this year who have played their first game, which is good for us going forward."
While Carter praised the team aspect of the win, there was one player who stood out above the rest - Corey Jones.
Jones was at his brilliant best again as he tore the Tigers apart through the midfield and up forward with a bag of nine goals and what should be more Michelsen Medal votes.
As well as Jones, captain Simon Rosa and Jack Daley, who is in ripping form, were also prominent, along with Jack Geary at centre half-back, while the Bulldogs pulled a surprise move by sending Jon Coe forward, with the inter-league defender kicking four goals.
Kyneton coach Mark Adamson was bitterly disappointed with the lack of pressure from his side in the first half and dished out an old-fashioned bake at the main break as the Tigers trailed by 58 points, 13.3 to 3.5.
"We were really poor in the first half and just didn't come to play," Adamson said.
"We didn't apply any defensive pressure in the first half, but we also missed a few opportunities early in the second quarter.
"We missed three shots at goal before they had a shot in the second quarter, but they then just went bang and that was the end of the game.
"We were 1.5 from our first six shots and missing those chances deflates the confidence. We need to be taking as many opportunities as we can to build our confidence because when it gets knocked, we don't respond very well at all during a quarter."
In what was the Tigers' sixth loss in a row, Ben Weightman and Luke Edmondson in his return to the side kicked four goals each to be their two best players, along with consistent midfielder Ryan Carafa and Jake Hyland, who continued his impressive form.
As for curtailing best-on-ground Jones, the Tigers tried Will Daly, Dale Ciunik, Josh Houlden and David Romer.
"That was as good an individual game as I've seen," Adamson said.
