Garrick had been chased heavily by Melbourne-based clubs Melbourne Boomers and Dandenong, but the 22-year-old has decided to stick with the two-time defendign champions.
"We've had a great run the last two years, but every team has recruited well this off-season so the competition is going to be stronger than ever,'' Garrick said.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge and know that we'll beup for it with the group we have.
"I'm looking to help the team on both ends of the court, locking down on defence and continue to be a threat offensively."
Garrick averaged 4.0 points per game last season and shot the ball at an impressive 45 per cent from behind the three-point arc.
The 22-year-old from Shepparton's best individual performance was a 14-point haul against the Boomers in round 18.
"Maddie is another young player that we're looking to help form the core of our group for years to come,'' Spirit coach Bernie Harrower said.
"As a regional club, it is always great to have country kids on the team who grew up in the region and understand what it means to play at this level."
Garrick is enjoying a superb SEABL season with Frankston. She is averaging more than 18 points per game to be the ninth-leading scorer in the league.
