The young guns will leave their footy gear at home and dress up for a Masquerade Ball the club is hosting.
Sisters Lily and Grace Campbell got into the spirit of the event, dressing up in evening gowns and elaborate masks.
Bendigo Thunder’s Chris Coughlan said the ball was a chance to celebrate the club’s elevation into the Victorian Women’s Football League’s premier competition.
He said despite the club not winning a game so far this season, the team had showed great resilience.
“The girls have bonded well throughout this season and hopefully we can keep working hard and continue to build,” Coughlan said.
Coughlan said the ball was a great chance for players, family members, club members and supporters to get together.
“Last year we also had a ball in Marong and this year we decided to have a Masquerade Ball, we adding a little bit of mystique to the evening,” he said.
“It should be a great night.”
The Masquerade Ball will be held at the Marong Hall on Friday between 8pm and midnight.
Tickets cost $30, which includes supper.
Guests can bring their own drinks and nibbles.
