The man, in his 60s, was flown to the The Alfred with chest and abdominal injuries after he came off his motorbike and hit a pole on Inglewood-Rheola Road about 11.30am.
UPDATE 4pm: An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said the man has been flown to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne with abdominal and chest injuries.
He is in a serious but stable condition.
EARLIER: A man in his 60s will be flown to Melbourne after he crashed his motorcycle at 11.30 this morning.
Two ambulance vehicles and HEMS 3 air ambulance are attending the scene on the Inglewood-Rheola Road in Rheola.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the man flew from his bike into a pole, he then rolled down a ditch.
Mr Mullen said the man is suffering from abdominal injuries.
He said after the man is stable the air ambulance would fly him to a Melbourne hospital.
