The City of Greater Bendigo is planning a new playground because the existing playground, located near the CFA building, has reached the end of its useful life.
There is also a proposal to move the playground 200 metres south, so it is closer to the Visitor Information Centre, the swimming pool, the public toilets and food shops.
The designs feature a giant custom-designed barrel play unit with a slide, see-saw, swings, hand pump, xylophone and pod spinner.
"It is now time for the community to tell us what they think about the design and which location they think is best for Heathcote," City of Greater Bendigo mayor Barry Lyons said.
"We have prepared a brochure that will be sent to over 900 homes surrounding the Barrack Reserve.
"The brochure sets out the designs for the two sites and provides an opportunity for residents to choose their preferred location and provide feedback on the designs."
Residents must return their feedback to the council by Sunday, July 20.
