Representing the Bendigo-based Building Champions Squad, Hanson was sitting in 16th place overall in the pro women's standings after eight races.
She had collected points in five stages - finishing eighth in a strong field of 45 at the Elkhart Lake Road Race on June 25 - and picked up sprint cash in several events.
The annual Dairylands tour is raced throughout south-east Wisconsin, and includes two events on the US Cycling National Criterium Calendar.
Hanson finished 10th overall at the event in 2013.
The Macedon Ranges Cycling Club member won the Tour of East Gippsland in February and paired with Bendigo's Tayla Hanson to finish third in the Bendigo International Madison women's race.
A finalist in Cycling Victoria's 2013 female track rider of the year, she has gone to America for a cycling scholarship at Milligan College in Tennessee.
The Dairylands tour ends on Sunday.
