Bendigo Senior was determined to regain the trophy in the girls' footy clash at Tom Flood Sports Centre.
The Lions just could not halt the Maine's attack and went down by nine points, 34-25.
Fortunes ebbed and flowed in the boys' netball on the QEO court.
The BSSC Lions won a great contest by six goals, 34-28.
