The Tigers last week became the first team to lose to Maryborough this year when they were belted by 59 points at Princes Park.
On Saturday they travel to Canterbury Park for a crucial clash with Eaglehawk, with both sides 4-5 and one game outside the top five at the halfway mark of the season.
“We’re very hungry for a win after last week,” Adamson said on Thursday.
“A lot of our good players didn’t stand up against Maryborough... they are aware of that and aware of the need to bounce back this week.
“I’m confident we will really respond and be very competitive, but we need to do everything right to get over the line.
“Hopefully, we don’t dish up what we did last week for the rest of the year.”
The Tigers marked their return to the senior competition earlier this year against the Hawks in round one when they led by 26 points at half-time, before losing by 26.
“Whenever you lose to an opposition side you’re always keen to turn that around in the second half of the year when you play them again,” Adamson said.
Eaglehawk is also coming off a loss last week against Sandhurst by 33 points.
