The mountain bike ace and track star are among the Australian Cyclones squad of 41 to race in Scotland.
Both are presently racing in Europe.
Mullens was in hot form on the road and MTB circuit last summer.
Racing for Wiggle-Honda, Mullens was runner-up to Rebecca Henderson in the cross-country final at the Australian mountain bike championships in Bright.
Mullens and Henderson have strived for Games selection through World Cup rounds in Europe.
Selection for Glasgow in the MTB action or road racing was a goal Mullens was determined to achieve.
The 26-year-old is presently racing in Belgium.
The Cyclones squad for these Games has a distinctive Bendigo flavour.
Men's track endurance coach Tim Decker started his coaching career in Bendigo.
The coach-athlete partnership between Decker and O'Shea is one of the most successful in Australian cycling history.
A triple world champion and an Olympic silver medallist, O'Shea is one of the country's best all-round cyclists.
A reigning world champion in the teams pursuit, O'Shea's campaign in Glasgow could include the points score and madison.
O'Shea's record includes gold in the omnium at the 2012 world track titles in Melbourne, gold in the teams pursuit at the past two world championships.
His first Olympics campaign in London included silver in the teams pursuit.
O'Shea has won more than 10 national titles. The Adelaide-based cyclist has dominated in points score, scratch race, madison and teams pursuit.
A dual winner of the Bendigo International Madison, O'Shea is the only athlete to be a triple winner of the Bendigo Advertiser Sports Star of the Year award, which is proudly supported by Prime 7 and Bendigo Bank.
Now in its 50th year, Sports Star is the longest-running award of its type in Australia
The Cyclones medal haul of 21 at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games included 14 gold medals.
Australia will be highly-fancied to win the teams pursuit in Glasgow.
"We are expecting tough competition from a few countries, in particular England who have three riders from their London Olympic gold medal team, plus New Zealand who have a few world medallists," Decker said.
The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow will run from July 23 to August 3.
