The 70-year-old powerlifter from Bendigo has just one goal in mind, to set world record lifts.
Kostadinos, who trains at least three times a week, said she was in great shape and was looking forward to competing against the best in the world.
“I have been training hard, my preparation is going really well, I am feeling great,” she said before a workout at D Club in Bath Lane, Bendigo.
Kostadinos didn’t make it to last year’s world titles, but back in 2012 she smashed several world records including a 132.5kg deadlift which shattered the previous record by more than 30kg.
She will compete in two different divisions, unequipped and equipped, across the three-day event at the Institute of Sport Science in Dusseldorf, Germany.
There are no powerlifting records set in the 70-and-over class.
Kostadinos said about 300 weightlifters would compete in Germany.
"It is a pretty popular sport in Europe, it isn't that popular here in Australia" she said.
"I have to wait and see how everyone else will go.
"I am looking forward to the competition."
Kostadinos began weightlifting for more than 15 years.
She said after having troubles with her back, her son had encouraged her to try weightlifting.
"I continued to lift more and more wights and back in 1997 I became the Australian champion," Kostadinos said.
"I have continued to chase records ever since.
"I have lots of trophies."
Kostadinos said she has no intention of giving up the sport anytime soon.
"I am never going to stop," she said.
Kostadinos will fly out to Germany on Monday, a few days before the event to prepare for the titles.
The World Single Lift Titles will begin on Friday, June 6 in Dusseldorf.
