The flashbacks kick off in 2007 when Bendigo took on Ballarat under the Queen Elizabeth Oval lights.
Teams were essentially under-23, but five over-age players could be selected.
The night included an under-18s football match and open netball.
In 2009, Bendigo achieved one of its finest triumphs when it beat Ballarat at Bacchus Marsh.
The 2010 clash for Bendigo was on home turf at the QEO against Gippsland.
In 2011, Bendigo tackled Geelong at Kardinia Park, aka Simonds Stadium.
Last year's inter-league action in Bendigo was the Heathcote District Football League against Nepean.A
