Their wine, Kyneton Ridge Estate, has emerged as one of three finalists in the produce section of the 2014 Powercor Macedon Ranges Business Awards.
Earlier in the year, winemakers John Boucher and Pauline Russell's winery was named a five-star boutique by leading wine judge James Halliday.
But Pauline Russell said they were touched by the most recent accolade.
“Receiving five stars from James Halliday is a great national accolade but being singled out in our local area, by the people we make our wine for, is especially moving for us,” she said.
“We believe awards like Powercor Macedon Ranges Business Awards are a big boost for local businesses and they help locals and tourists to realise that the Macedon Ranges is a place of amazing produce.”
Ms Russell said she and Mr Boucher were honoured to be listed among 23 other local producers but it was a proud moment when they discovered they had made the top three.
