The Superoos’ major off-season recruiting drive is yet to yield any wins, with Mitiamo at 0-3.
The Superoos have had chances to win all three of their games, twice leading at three quarter-time - including last week against Calivil United - but haven’t been able to finish off and are now under pressure to click their season into gear before it’s too late.
The Bears, after starting the year 0-2, have won their past two games against YCW (43 points) and Inglewood (76) and look to be now working their way into the season.
• Collingwood premiership player Alan Didak will be the star attraction at Backhaus Oval when he lines up for YCW against Bridgewater.
The appearance of Didak - who played 218 games and kicked 274 goals for the Magpies - is bound to add to the crowd numbers, but will it help the Eagles challenge the might of the Mean Machine?
Bridgewater is 3-0 and has been measly in its defence, conceding just 20 goals so far.
The Mean Machine have been quick to assert their authority on contests, having led by 18, 26 and 23 points at quarter-time in their three games.
Saturday’s game continues a tough start for the 1-4 YCW, with it already the fourth finalist from last season the Eagles have played.
• Unbeaten Pyramid Hill hosts Calivil United at Mitchell Park.
The Bulldogs showed plenty of fighting spirit last week to defeat Marong by 12 points after trailing for most of the day.
The Demons were also strong in the final quarter last week to kick away from Mitiamo and win their second match, but will need to be at the top of their game all day to match it with Pyramid Hill.
• Newbridge returns from the bye to take on Inglewood at Inglewood.
Both sides are coming off defeats to Bridgewater in their last games - the Blues by 103 points and Maroons by 40 a fortnight ago.
