A 32-year-old Golden Square man tested positive for methamphetamine during a random test on Carpenter Street in Kangaroo Flat about 1.50pm Monday.
Police tested a 26-year-old man on Rocky Rises Road about six hours later, and the man also returned a positive reading for ice.
A 31-year-old Strathdale woman also tested positive for methamphetamine on Bridge Street at about 8.10pm.
Sergeant Geoff Annand said the samples were awaiting further analysis with drivers facing penalty notices, loss of licence and fines.
A drug bus will be brought in to specifically target drug drivers during the upcoming Groovin’ the Moo weekend.
In other incidents, a 19-year-old motorcyclist was lucky to escape with minor injuries after crashing into the back of a car on Crusoe Road Monday.
“He was distracted and ran into the rear of a car which had slowed down to turn into a driveway,” Sgt Annand said.
“He was taken to Bendigo Hospital with minor cuts and abrasions and was later released.
“He was very lucky not to have suffered more serious injuries.
“We had no fatalities or serious injury collision over the long weekend which was our aim.”
The Calder Highway was also closed at Kyneton for about an hour after a caravan jack-knifed and crashed about 4pm Monday.
