The warship propeller blade was made at Bendigo's Thales site in the 1980s and was unveiled at a ceremony on Wednesday.
Member for Bendigo Lisa Chesters attended the ceremony and said the warship propeller blade was symbolic of Bendigo's proud defence history.
"For 72 years we've had defence manufacturing here in Bendigo," she said.
"There are about 30 small to medium business enterprises which have benefited from the supply chains supporting Thales ... it's so critical that we continue to have defence manufacturing here."
