The well-established monthly market features local produce and products.
From April 12 it will also feature Healthy Together Bendigo Kids Club activities.
Children up to the age of 12 are welcome to join the club, get a free badge, and join in some fun, food-related activities.
Bendigo Community Farmers Market coordinator Hayley Davis said the market would celebrate its fourth birthday by focusing on children.
"We found that the market attracts a lot of families," she said.
"This is a lovely way for kids to feel they belong to the market as well.
"Sometimes we will get them to talk to producers about where the food comes from."
Ideas include cooking or processing food, planting seeds, food art and games or interactive activities with local producers at the market.
City of Greater Bendigo’s manager, active and healthy communities Patrick Jess says children are the future of Australia’s food system.
“The Healthy Together Bendigo Kids Club is a great initiative to increase children’s understanding of fruits and vegetables and healthy eating,” Mr Jess said.
