The UK import joins Bendigo after spending one season with Peninsula Power in the Queensland State League.
Bendigo product Trent Waterson, who spent the past two seasons with Sunshine George Cross, has also signed with FC Bendigo.
FC Bendigo operations manager Brock Rogers said the signings of Breeze and Waterson was a coup for the club leading into Sunday's first game against Avondale Heights.
“Matt has already made an impact within the squad both on and off the field,'' Rogers said.
"He brings a lot of intensity and professionalism to the group.
“It is great to have Trent back playing in Bendigo where his career started and where much of his family still lives. Trent is a quality player, who can play through the middle or out wide, and is very creative with the ball at his feet."
Breeze and Waterson made a big impression in FC Bendigo's practice match win over Goulburn Valley.
FC Bendigo has also signed former Melbourne Heart and Melbourne Victory back-up goalkeeper Sebastian Mattei and striker George Slefendorfas, who was the Golden Boot winner in the top flight New Zealand Championship.
Former BASL player Finn Huzzey, who played with Richmond in the VPL in 2013, is in line to make the squad.
BASL players Jono Ryan, Zac Kinsman and Josh Naunton also look set to make the final squad.
