Forrest has pencilled in the City of Greater Bendigo Thousand (120m) and the Bendigo Bank Black Opal (400m).
The first of 10 heats in the sprint classic will be run at 1.30pm on Saturday at the Tom Flood Sports Centre in Bendigo.
Forrest is the backmarker off 3m in heat seven.
Heats of the Black Opal, the country's richest 400m, will be run on Saturday night during the women.i.s.e. promotion.
Forrest's mark in the open 400m is 14m in the first of five heats.
Several past winners of the Bendigo Thousand or Black Opal are in this weekend's fields.
Eaglehawk's Glenn Stephens, now based in Epsom, holds the rare distinction of having won the 120m and 400m classics on Bendigo's track.
Saturday night'sathletics card includes the Black Pearl women's 400m heats.
Bendigo sprinter Sophie Taylor will race off 17m in the first of three heats.
Taylor is the backmarker off 1m in the women's 120m.
Many other Bendigo-based athletes will chase home-track victories across the two-day carnival.
