First events will be contested from 1.30pm at the Latrobe University Bendigo athletics complex in Retreat Road, Flora Hill.
1.30pm: sprint hurdles, hammer. 1.40pm: 1500m or 3000m walk, triple jump. 2pm: 150m. 2.20pm: one mile, discus. 2.30pm: 300m. 2.40pm: long jump. 2.45pm: 300m hurdles. 3pm: 80m, shot put. 3.20pm: two mile.
Many young stars from AB clubs will head to Lakeside Stadium for the Athletics Victoria junior track and field titles.
The championships have drawn 35 entrants from Bendigo clubs.
In-form Bendigo athletes include race walker Zoe Boldiston; sprinters Emily Lawson, Sophie Taylor and Luke Rowlatt; distance runners Matthew Heislers and Kye Jenkyn; Bree Heiden and Chris Browne in field events; and the versatile Carlie Whitford and Blake Pryse.
Action starts at 5.20pm on Friday. Saturday's program begins at 10am, with Sunday's first events at 9am.
