It's the year of the horse and the beginning of the Chinese New Year.
For the first time in the region, performing carp will morph into dragons and a tell a traditional Chinese story.
Golden Dragon Museum Education Officer Tan See Tuang said during the story children are taught to work hard to achieve high standards.
Lots of family friendly activities will take place to help bring in the Year of the Horse, such as Horse Shoe Tossing, Chinese Hacky Sack (Jianzi), and Hobby Horse Racing.
Dances from the Plum Blossom Dance Team and the Chinese Lion dancing will help bring in the Chinese new year.
The new dragon, yet to be named will float through the sky over.
"We will announce the name of the dragon (on Saturday) night," Mr See Tuang said.
Bendigo Chinese Association would like to invite the public to come along on Saturday 1st February 2014 at the Dai Gum San Precinct starting at 6.30pm.
