The prize pool for the second edition of this tournament has increased to $2025.
Play starts at noon and will involve three games of 12 ends to determine the placegetters.
Club spokesman Ian Vlaeminck said entries for the tournament flowed in quickly.
"We reached the capacity of 42 teams a couple of weeks ago," Vlaeminck said.
"The support from the event's major sponsors, Genesys Wealth Financial Advisors and HQ Law Solicitors, and various sponsors helps ensure this event is a great success.
"This tournament has gained a lot of support from bowlers across the region."
Bowlers from as far afield as Tongala, Rich River, Moama and Rochester will head to the Lansell Street greens.
Most Bendigo Bowls Division clubs are represented.
The field includes teams from Inglewood, Kangaroo Flat, Lockwood, South Bendigo, Golden Square and North Bendigo.
Prizemoney will be from first to sixth. Placings will be determined by games won and ends won.
"This type of format leads to a more aggresssive game of bowls," Vlaeminck said.
"Unlike shots up when a team may drop confidence when well behind, this format means they are still right in the game for longer."
High Game prize will be awarded on the last game.
Bendigo East's triples event will include the raffle in which 22 prizes will be up for grabs.
An Australian sponsors cricket cap and Kookaburra mini bat, both signed by Test and one-day star Ricky Ponting, will be auctioned after Saturday's play.
Saturday pennant in the Bendigo BD resumes February 2.
