A 70-YEAR-OLD man is in hospital with broken ribs after his car crashed into a tree in Knowsley.
The man from Carapooee West crashed into a tree on Sunday on the Derrinal-Crosby Road which caused the tree to fall on his car.
Heathcote Police Sergeant John Olver said initial reports said there was a man trapped in the car but he was out when they got there.
"We got the call at 10.10am," he said.
Victorian men prosecuted for having gay sex will be able to apply to have their convictions erased under laws before state parliament this year.
Gay rights advocates welcomed the move, saying it will help end the stigma and shame endured by hundreds of men based on discriminatory laws more than 30 years ago.
