THREE people and a cat have fled a burning car which sparked a 120-hectare grass fire at Serpentine.

The trio was moving furniture when their vehicle caught fire on the Bridgewater-Serpentine Road around 1.30pm yesterday.
Jodie Spencer, who escaped from the car with Kit E Kat, said they got out just in time.
"We were just driving along and we noticed the tray was on fire," she said.
"So we pulled over and got out just in time."
Nine fire units attended the scene and it took crews an hour to bring the blaze under control.
A CFA spokesman said crews did a good job.
“There were significant resources with nine trucks but they did a good job of chasing the fire down,” he said.
“When they arrived it was around 30 to 40 hectares but it grew fairly large.
"It went into the forest so there were issues with access.
“There was good support from DEPI which had a slip-on unit that they sent in and chased it down.
“The fire was declared under control at 3.15pm and they remained to mop up.
“It burnt 120 hectares but there were no houses in the path and it was a good save.
“The last crew left at 7pm.”
It comes as another fire in Muskerry, started by a header, burnt 80 hectares.
The CFA were called to the scene at Barnadown-Myola Road about 4.15pm yesterday.
Elmore Fire Brigade captain Bob Simpson said it took an hour to bring the fire under control.
“It burnt 250 acres and we had 14 appliances out here plus a helicopter," he said.
“It was started by a header which was completely destroyed in the fire.
“No homes or sheds were destroyed.”
Crews stayed onsite to mop up.
