The 29-year-old heads to Bendigo after a stint with the Delaware 87ers in the NBA D-League.
Salisbery, who stands at 195cm, averaged 8.5 points, 4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game for the 87ers.
He's previously had NBA Summer League experience with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Salisbery, who has had stints in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Germany, France, Romania and Greece, graduated from Temple University.
He averaged 16 points and five rebounds per game in his senior year with Temple.
He entered the 2007 NBA Draft, but was overlooked.
“Dustin is the type of player we have been missing in the past few seasons. He is a very versatile player, he is a great defender, rebounder and scorer,” Braves coach Ben Harvey said.
Salisbery joins centre Zach Atkinson as the Braves two new imports for 2014.
