The school held a Community Fun Run last Sunday at Lake Neanger, Eaglehawk in a bid to raise money for their Energy Breakthrough team with money also going to Cystic Fibrosis Bendigo and Ronald McDonald House.
Those taking part could join in the 1km ‘little tacker run’ designed for children under 10, a 3km family walk or an 8km run.
According to teacher Gabby Walsh they managed to raise $1400 on the day with 250 people taking part.
“It was the first time we had held an event like this and it was a smashing success,” she said.
“It was all about community building and it went better than expected.
"It was really good and we are thinking of making it an annual event."
