A series of City of Greater Bendigo workshops ended yesterday with a field trip of the new Bendigo hospital precinct.
The council’s strategy unit project manager Mark Stubbs said people shared their ideas for the future of the area. Rosalind Park was a recurring theme.
“One of the participants was definitely an architect as well as a resident, you could tell, and she seemed to have pretty strong views about the idea of making this hospital link in strongly with Rosalind Park,” he said. “It keeps coming up as theme among people we’ve been speaking to so we’ve been exploring ideas about how we can make that happen.
“We actually identified four broad areas that we wanted to tackle. The first one was Rosalind Park and then we moved on through to the Bridge Street area and then from there we went on to the eastern residential area and then up to the north and around the top end.”
Mr Stubbs said information from this week’s workshops would be consolidated and put into a package.
