Group member Ken Hamilton said member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards would attend the meeting.
City of Greater Bendigo ward councillors and mayor Lisa Ruffell were invited to the meeting, but will not be attending.
Mr Hamilton said tonight’s meeting would be a chance for group members to plan their next step.
He said they had letterboxed most of Golden Square and were hoping there would be a strong turnout.
“The meeting is basically a chance for us to keep collecting petitions and to see how many we’ve got,” he said.
“We will work on our plan of action.
“We still have not got a decision out of the council yet, so we
are still keeping the pressure on.”
Mr Hamilton said he hoped Ms Edwards would be able to provide supporters of Save the Golden Square Swimming Pool with some ideas and tips on what they should do next.
“Maree will be there to give us some moral support and can give us some information on the direction we should be pursuing,” he said.
Blue signs and ribbons were also put up around the neighbourhood in support of the push to save the pool. However, City of Greater Bendigo council workers removed the blue ribbons and signs from High Street and other public property last week.
The council said the ribbons were a pollution risk.
Mr Hamilton said the blue posters and ribbons were only lasting a day before they were taken down.
The Save the Golden Square Swimming Pool public meeting will be held tonight at the Golden Square Football clubrooms at 7.30pm.
