Did council consider the pool’s community value?

Due diligence is the process of evaluating a prospective business decision by obtaining information about the state of the other party.

Due diligence in general is a measure prudence, responsibility and diligence that is expected from a reasonable and prudent person under the circumstances.

It is the duty of directors and officers to act prudently in evaluating associated risks and concerns in all transactions.

With the closure of the public swimming pool at Golden Square, did the council apply due diligence to the social investment of the pool?

Did it consider the social return on investment and the value to the community in keeping the pool open to the public for health, sports and social cohesion?
