People are being invited to see the brigade in action as part of CFA Sunday, an event being held across the state to allow the public to meet and have fun with CFA members.
Eaglehawk Fire Brigade captain Eric Smith said there would be activities at the Eaglehawk station from 11am to 2pm.
“We’re actually running a training session on automatic defibrillators that day,” he said.
“So anyone who comes along for CFA Sunday will be able to see how they work.
“We’ll have the four trucks out, too, which always gets kids interested.”
Mr Smith said the Eaglehawk Fire Brigade was not looking for any new recruits at the moment.
“We’ve been really lucky but I’m sure other brigades around Bendigo will certainly be looking to recruit,” he said.
“So it’s a good opportunity for people to see what we’re all about.’
Mr Smith said as summer approached, people should make sure they have a fire plan.
“And a written plan rather than just one in your head,” he said.
“It’s very important.”
