Ladies, it’s time to strap on those stilettos, and gentlemen, straighten those ties – the Bendigo Advertiser Hot 100 is back by popular demand. The inaugral fashion event at the Bendigo Cup sizzled last year as locals and visitors alike struck their best pose for our photographer in the hope of securing your votes to be named the hottest racegoer.Although the competition proved popular with female racegoers, it was Warrnambool’s Daz Welch who was crowned the Hot 100 winner last year.“I was pretty surprised to win,” he said.Up for grabs again are a number of prizes including the major prize of a $1000 Myer gift voucher. Myer Bendigo operations manager Paul Dynon said he was excited to be part of the Hot 100 this year after the good response from racegoers last year. Mr Dynon and Mr Welch encouraged all attending the Bendigo Cup next week to join in the fun.“Go to a bit of effort and have fun, and enjoy the day,” Mr Dynon said.“It definitely didn’t hurt my chances with the girls going into an event like that. So why not enter?,” Mr Welch said.Bendigo Advertiser editor Peter Kennedy said $3000 of Myer vouchers had been made available as part of this year’s Hot 100 contest.“This is a fantastic, fun competition and we are extremely grateful to Myer and the Bendigo Jockey Club for their support.”Entering the Hot 100 is easy.
