ECHUCA: Police are investigating after the Echuca post office was broken into early this morning.
Officers were called to the Pakenham Street Echuca Post Shop after a security alarm was activated at the store at 1.22am.
When police arrived they found the front glass doors smashed by a rock and mobile phones stolen. Read more here.
CASTLEMAINE: Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria crews were called to the Loddon Prison yesterday evening after a scuffle between two inmates.
Castlemaine Sergeant Simone Prictor said the pair got into an argument inside a cell and one was attacked with a fork about 7.30pm.
She said one was taken to hospital with very minor injuries, including to his face, hands and head.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson confirmed a man was taken to hospital in a stable condition, but two were assessed at the scene.
MALMSBURY: A man was taken to Bendigo hospital after a reported car crash last night.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the man was transported in a stable condition.
Crews were called to the scene on the Calder Freeway at Malmsbury about 7.55pm.
