KANGAROO FLAT: Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle was set alight in Kangaroo Flat this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene in bushland near Phillis Street about 5.25am after a V/Line train driver spotted the fire.
Two CFA units attended from Kangaroo Flat and Bendigo and brought the fire under control by 5.46am.
Sergeant Travis Dole said the vehicle was believed to be a black Nissan Navara.
The State Emergency Service also attended.

EPSOM: Two parrots have been stolen from a Midland Highway property in Epsom.
Sergeant Travis Dole said the Port Lincoln parrots were stolen sometime between 9am on Thursday, April 6 and 9am on Saturday, April 8.
“The offender gained access to the rear yard via a gate and has taken two Port Lincoln parrots out of a cage that was attached to a house,” he said.
Police are investigating and checking with local bird sellers and online websites.

BENDIGO: Police are continuing to investigate after three people were seen riding on the back of a Bendigo bus last week.
Senior Sergeant Ian Brooks said police had received some very positive information and were expected to be interviewing people this week.
