THOUSANDS of Bendigo residents lined the streets of the central business district to watch the annual Easter Torchlight Procession on Saturday evening.
The parade, which celebrates the contribution of emergency services personnel to the community, wound its way from View Street, through Pall Mall and onto Bridge Street.
Firefighters, police, ambulance, SES and defence force personnel took part.
The theme of this year's procession was lanterns.
Parade entrants lit up their floats and vehicles.
Participants displayed lanterns they had made at lantern building workshops earlier in the year.
Easter Festival activities continue on Sunday.
The Bendigo Advertiser Gala Parade begins at 1pm.
