It's believed the man died when he collided head on with a truck near on the Avoca-Talbot Road about 9am.
A 46-year-old St Arnaud truck driver was not injured and is assisting police.
EARLIER: A MOTORCYCLIST has died after colliding with truck at Bung Bong near Maryborough just after 9am on Monday.
Police and paramedics are still on scene of the accident at the intersection of Avoca Talbot Road and the Pyrenees Highway.
Police Media confirmed the fatality.

The fatality follows a death earlier on Wednesday morning at Newham near Kyneton.
