The outsider of the field worked hard from its wide barrier to sit outside leader Ireland’s Teardrop.
The leaders set a cracking tempo in front and Finnegan Beginegan was spent before the home turn.
Banks wasn’t impressed by jockey Craig Newitt’s ride.
“The horse is better than that,’’ Banks said.
“My instructions to Craig was to slot her in somewhere and save her for the final 600m.
“Craig rocketed her forward and they went too hard. She never had a chance.
“I actually thought we were going to win the Mazda car for the 955m challenge they were going that fast early.
“The good thing is the horse has pulled up fine.”
