Victorious in all three previous contests this season, Strathfieldsaye will start favourite on the William Loud complex hardcourts in Nolan Street.
Play hits off at 1pm as the winner advances to a showdown with South Bendigo in the March 24 grand final.
In the regular season, Strathfieldsaye won 15 of 18 rubbers against Butterflies as the sets and games tally ended 28-205 to 8-134.
The 17th round duel ended in a 6-10-72 to 0-2-53 victory for Strath.
Despite a topsy-turvy season, Spring Gully’s aces showed they are a force to be reckoned with as they scored a 25-game win in last Friday night’s semi-final clash with BTC Cobras.
Gully’s winning line-up was Matt Hartland, Jamie Brown, Simon Kelly and Jacob Grieves in the singles rubbers.
Hartland teamed with Danielle Bowles in the doubles, and Brown-Kelly also triumphed.
Strathfieldsaye is on the rebound from a 27-game loss to South Bendigo in the second semi-final.
Second after the home and away series, Strathfieldsaye may regain number one player Aidan Fitzgerald to take on Butterflies.
Lachlan Perdon also missed the semi-final as he ran to victory in the Flack Advisory-backed Distance Series final run on Friday night at the Tom Flood Sports Centre.
Strathfieldsaye’s semi-final line-up was Michael Smyth, Nick Bath, Casey Fleming and Tova Penno.
The Quest Bendigo-backed division one preliminary finals will be played on Saturday from 1pm at the Bendigo Tennis Association headquarters in Nolan Street.
Spring Gully Phoenix takes on BTC Infants in the first preliminary final and Spring Gully Panthers faces Axedale.
The Gully teams ended the regular season in first and second place.
In the head-to-head record, Phoenix leads Infants, 2-0, while another round was abandoned.
Panthers and Axedale stand at one-all and a draw this season.
