Joel Selwood
JOEL Selwood is on the verge of becoming the longest serving captain in Geelong’s history.
Selwood – a Bendigo Pioneer draftee – will lead the Cats for a seventh season following the announcement of the club’s leadership group on Friday.
Selwood has captained Geelong 139 times since his appointment in 2012.
The 29-year-old needs just four more games to surpass Reg Hickey’s record of 142 games as Cats’ captain.
