The tournament was held at the Bendigo Aquatic Centre.
Bendigo faced off against the Wodonga Pool Pirates in the women’s final, but was beaten by three goals, 10-7.
The best players for the tournament for Bendigo were led by Georgia De Salis and Camille Reed.
Junior player Olivia Richards competing in her first country championships also showed plenty of promise during the two days of competition.
Meanwhile, Bendigo’s men’s team bowed out in the semi-finals to eventual premier Albury.
Albury won the semi-final 10-2, with Bendigo’s two goals scored by Dean Spencly and Paul McKenzie.
The most consistent players for Bendigo at the tournament included Paul Edebone, Spencly and Charles Symons.
Pre-tournament favourite Albury went on to defeat Wodonga 5-0 in the final.
Eight men’s and five women’s teams contested the championships.
