Leading Senior Constable Mick Balazs said the man stole a considerable amount of equipment between 3am and 8am Sunday morning.
“At this stage it is at least five different instances (of things being stolen) from within the caravan park,” he said. “The ski equipment in particular is quite valuable and distinctive.
“The man was seen leaving the west bank of Loddon River opposite the caravan park in a fairly distinctive ute at about 8am Sunday.”
The vehicle is described as a sapphire blue mid-90s Ford Falcon ute.
He said the caravan park was nearly full to capacity because of the 2018 Australian Masters Water Ski Championships.
“We are calling for anyone who knows anything about the thefts or can provide information regarding that ute,” he said.
Anyone with information should phone Bridgewater police on 5437 3232 or contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
