Barrie Lester and Josh Thornton, who were both named in Australia’s 2018 Commonwealth Games lawn bowls team, are the tournament ambassadors.
The Australia Day competition at Heathcote will include a triples tournament in which teams will be required to have at least one non-bowler as a way of introducing them to the sport.
Another highlight of the day will be a $1000 prize for the winner of a one-bowl knockout competition.
"Everyone is invited to take part and anyone can win it," said one of the organisers, former club secretary Peter Cunningham.
Winners of each elimination round will progress until there are only two left in the final.
Heathcote’s Australia Day fund-raiser for MND has been held for the past three years.
