More than a dozen units are responding to a grassfire at Kerang-Quambatook Road at Normanville, which is not yet under control.
A nearby haystack is also on fire.
The CFA says there is no threat to communities, but advises people should stay informed and monitor conditions.
Firefighters are also at the scene of a haystack fire at Boort-Quambatook Road in Barraport.
The fire is under control and the CFA says it is unlikely to spread into grassland.
“But it will generate a lot of smoke,” the CFA advises.
A community information statement indicates the fire might burn for most of the day.
“There is no immediate threat to the community and no action is required,” it says.
A Total Fire Ban is in force in the Mallee and Wimmera today as temperatures soar.
Kerang is forecast to reach a top of 41 degrees.
