The advice message for people in the Tarrengower, Welshmans Reef and Maldon remains in place.
UPDATE 4pm: A spokesperson for the CFA said the fire was called in about 3.15pm and 22 vehicles including the Helitack firefighting helicopter were on scene.
EARLIER: Firefighters are at the scene of a grassfire at Tarrengower that is not yet under control.
The fire is travelling in a southerly direction towards Seers Road.
The CFA advises there is currently no threat to people in the area, but they should plan for what to do if the situation changes.
It is the second fire this afternoon, following a small bushfire at Sutton Grange.
An advice message has been issued to people in the Tarrengower, Welshmans Reef and Maldon areas:

- Monitor weather conditions and warnings as grassfires can spread rapidly.
- Keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.

- Grassfires can create a lot of smoke.
- Firefighters are attending to this fire.

- Smoke can affect people's health.
