Neylon smashed 49 off just 21 balls in Northern Rivers’ comfortable five-wicket win over Central Highlands last Sunday at Bell Oval.
Neylon cracked six boundaries and two sixes in his innings, which followed on from 91 off just 63 balls against Mallee Murray a week earlier in the Victorian Country Cricket League’s under-21 competition.
Meanwhile, the BDCA’s under-14 and under-16 teams began their Northern Rivers Shield campaigns last Sunday against Shepparton.
The under-14 team opened with a 13-run win as it answered Shepparton’s 95 with 8-108 off its 40 overs.
The under-16 team was beaten by 35 runs after it was bowled out for 88 chasing Shepparton’s 123.
The next round is away games against Murray Valley on December 3.
