Constant rain in Heathcote has left roads closed in the town.
Shakespere Street and Barrack Street both had water running over them this morning.
Last night, the water was above one metre over the road at Shakespere Street.
Motorists are urged to seek an alternative route.
Roadblock were in place last night on the Northern Highway between Heathcote-Nagambie Road and Campbells Lane.
The Northern Highway between Heathcote and Tooborac reopened about 9.45pm last night.
Other roads in the area were covered in water yesterday evening, including the McIvor Highway.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology website, Bendigo copped 35mm on Wednesday night but has only received 3.6mm since 9am Thursday morning.
Redesdale has received 15.2mm since 9am Thursday.
Forecasts are for showers to clear across the region today with a top of 24 degrees expected in Bendigo.
