Macri fills the position that was previously held by Tony McNamara, who is now the SANFL South East football operations co-ordinator.
Macri has spent the past five years as the football development manager for the Central Murray region, while he is a former welfare co-ordinator at the Kerang Technical High School.
Macri’s footballing background also includes 12 years as the Central Murray league’s junior development officer, and he also has senior coaching experience.
“Jamie will be a terrific addition to our team and will play an important role in the implementation of our strategic plan for football within the region,” AFLCV regional manager Carol Cathcart said.
Macri will begin his new role early in the new year.
