In pool one, last season’s runner-up Kangaroo Flat is away to Strathfieldsaye, while White Hills hosts Golden Square. Eaglehawk has the bye.
In pool two, Sandhurst is at home to Bendigo, while Strathdale-Maristians is at home to Huntly-North Epsom. Reigning T20 champions Bendigo United has the bye. All matches are scheduled to start at 5.15pm.
The top team in each pool after the five preliminary rounds will meet in the grand final under lights at the Queen Elizabeth Oval on January 17.
This summer is the 10th year of T20 cricket in the BDCA.
Strathdale has four grand final wins from five appearances, while BUCC, Golden Square, Strathfieldsaye, Huntly-North Epsom and Bendigo have one premiership each.
