Dennis bagged 3-19, including the consecutive wickets of Nick Whitfield (c Daniel Ravallion), Ken Bell (c Garner Smith) and Scott Lawry (lbw) for his hat-trick.
The Blowies, who had Kyle Patten battle hard for 72, were bowled out for 115 in reply to Calivil’s 7-146.
Calivil’s tally after it had earlier been sent in featured a half-century to Steve Roberts (51).
• An unbroken partnership of 120 between Braden Latter (63) and William Kenny (47 n.o.) led Raywood to a six-wicket win over Colbinabbin.
Chasing Colbinabbin’s 141, Raywood was on the ropes early at 4-22. However, Latter and Kenny advanced the score to 142 without further loss before stumps were pulled after 29 overs.
Earlier after winning the toss and batting, skipper Chris Guinane (75) made more than half of the Ducks’ 141.
• Ball dominated bat in Bagshot’s win over Goornong – a game where 20 wickets were lost for just 129 runs.
Bagshot’s tally of 75 in which only opener Marc Sherwell (39) made double figures and six players were dismissed for a duck proved a winning score as Goornong was all out in reply for 54.
Bagshot’s James Sexton was brilliant with 5-9 off eight overs in his side’s successful defence of its total, while Sherwell capped a fine game with 4-10 off 6.3 overs.
• Elmore recorded a comfortable 70-run win over Heathcote.
The Redbacks notched 7-195 batting first, headed by 57 n.o. from Bailey Boyack.
Heathcote was all out for 125 in the 36th over against an Elmore attack that used 10 bowlers.
UPPER LODDON
Arnold has already taken first innings points against Wedderburn on day one of round two in the Upper Loddon Cricket Association.
Jarred Postle bagged 5-27 as Arnold was bowled out in the 36th over for just 118, yet it proved a score well out of reach of Wedderburn.
With Michael Dale (6-10) and Ashley Younghusband (4-23) combining for all 10 wickets, Arnold dismissed Wedderburn for just 33 in reply to cap a day in which 20 wickets fell for only 151 runs.
• Reigning premier Bridgewater has plenty of work to do if it’s to beat Newbridge, which is coming off an outright loss last round.
The Bulls went to stumps at 4-47 in reply to Newbridge’s 136, needing another 90 runs with six wickets in hand.
• Inglewood was bowled out for 100 by Boort-Yando.
Having won the toss, Inglewood had been 5-86 before losing its last five wickets for just 14 runs.
Boort-Yando will resume its run-chase next Saturday at 2-66.
• Kingower has 220 to defend against the reformed Serpentine.
Skipper Braydon Welsh (56) made a half-century for Kingower opening the batting, while the best of the Serpentine bowlers was Justin Laird (4-36).
